In an exclusive fusion of art, aesthetics and intimacy, Joël Andrianomearisoa and twelve world-renowned contemporary artists transform the Sabrina Amrani gallery into a warm residence where they make themselves hosts. Entitled “Y SI MADRID FUERA MI CASA“, this group show highlights the Madagascan artist and other emerging talents such as mentalKLINIK, Ishola Akpo, Manal AlDowayan, Pierre Bouveret, Vincent Dubourg, Alexandre Gourçon, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Pascal Martin Saint Leon, Chalisée Naamani, Alain Polo, Zahra Rabeharisoa and Christian Sanna. Until April 20, 2024, visitors are invited to explore this home specially fashioned in Madrid by the art of these talented contemporary artists.
The exhibition project is the fruit of in-depth reflection by Joël Andrianomearisoa, deployed in various places around the world that have aroused his interest. After taking over Paris, Antananarivo and Chicago with the relevance and depth of his artistic approach, Madrid is now being reinvented through the varied prism of contemporary artists who have come to build a home capable of translating the emotions, dreams and desires of the contemporary world.
Through “Y SI MADRID FUERA MI CASA“, geographies are revealed according to the diverse backgrounds of the contemporary artists involved. The public is invited to navigate this captivating wealth of media and cultural identities. Initiated by Joël Andrianomearisoa, this exclusive exhibition transcends the role of artist for that of host, inviting his peers to invest the premises in order to build together a residence of dreams and desires, conducive to exchanges and discussions on the world and time.
Works scattered throughout the Sabrina Amrani gallery immerse visitors in a warm, familiar atmosphere, recreating the home-like ambience sought by artists. This home embraces the sensual, the spiritual, the conflicting, the timeless and the eternal through art. In Madrid, in a Spanish breath, a timeless home comes to life.
