« KASSARAM », this appropriate method to describe the open and experimental nature of the studio space in which Thania Petersen works at Zeitz MOCAA. Thania Petersen will occupy « L’Atelier », this trial and residency stage for Cape Town-based artists. It is a multiple exhibition space located on the first floor of the center, which gives occupants the opportunity to use the gallery as a studio, to create new work, conduct research and reflect on future projects.

By revealing creative methods and cycles that are typically private, « L’Atelier » gives guests of the historic space special access and knowledge. This gives artists the opportunity to reflect on their work in a public climate and to cooperate with various guests and networks in open projects.

The exhibition « KASSARAM » is open at Zeitz MOCAA in Cape Town, South Africa until October 17, 2021.
