The Bridge Gallery collaborates with established and emerging photographic artists to invest their energy in blockchain and recommend their art to a new generation of collectors.

Convinced that NFTs can give another voice to artists from Africa and its diaspora, The Bridge Gallery has been committed for nearly a year to advancing their work and values so that innovation can be put at the service of the imagination, the photographic medium and contemporary art.

A program: Three collections reflecting African visual variety

For its introduction to the art market, The Bridge Gallery presented three collections.

The first brings together 35 photographs by the young Ghanaian Sarfo Emmanuel Annor in his series “The Essence of Color“, which praises the variety and richness of Ghanaian culture through color therapy.

The third collection offered by The Bridge Gallery is that of Angèle Etoundi Essamba, one of the most accomplished African photographers of her age, who recently joined MoMA’s permanent collection.

She offers 15 photographs from her “Symbols” series, which reflects on the personality of women and questions the complex relationship between custom and innovation.

Today, although contemporary African photography is a growing sector and participates in a specific accomplishment with art collectors, “The Bridge Gallery” was born out of the idea that African photographic artists needed to be represented in the NFT market. Its main objective will be to present artists in order to highlight their creations, but also to advance the richness of contemporary African photography by offering different specific messages.
