« BRISE DU ROUGE SOLEIL », such is the title of the exhibition of the contemporary Malagasy artist Joël Andrianomearisoa which is held until September 26, 2021 at the Towers and Ramparts of Aigues-Mortes. Between meetings, reunions, legends, stories, myths and tales, the artist dives into the twists and turns of the city’s history.
« BRISE DU ROUGE SOLEIL », immerses the visitor for a moment in emotion and suggests a sensitive and poetic journey of 18 installations intertwined with stories. Between mixing the history of the monument and the territory, Joël Andrianomearisoa lets us glimpse the memory of the ancient port city open to the Mediterranean. It is a story that was once also presented by the poet Maurice Ramarozaka.
This carte blanche to Joel Andrianomearisoa is an infinite journey, an enigma, a treasure hunt, a non-explicit narrative that each visitor perceives.
