On December 6, 2022, Chanel House will be in Dakar to unveil its new Métiers d’art 2022-2023 collection.

After Tokyo, Shanghai, New York, and Edinburgh, Chanel House is returning to the African continent to showcase its inventive heritage and the richness of its creations.

With this new objective, Chanel House intends to resonate the expertise of its Métiers d’art with the ingenious and cultural energy of this city. Dakar never ceases to imagine and improve, displaying a status that is still unmatched in Africa. It is the meeting place for chic designers. A jewel box of crafts, art and culture that has been able to rethink itself while protecting its institutions.

This same energy for craftsmanship and know-how is at the origin of Chanel’s Métiers d’art collections and the impulse of the late Karl Lagerfeld.

Each year, the show pays tribute to the excellence of the craftsmen’s know-how through an ingenious organization that offers the creation of extraordinary collections.

On this occasion, the Chanel House fashion house plans to showcase the benefits of craftsmanship and continental African art through exhibitions, workshops and discussions.
